Amidst all the hype and fuss raised by Team India's trip to Australia, there has been a quiet, almost unnoticed, progress to the Under-19 Worldcup finals by Teen-India. It has been a delight to watch an athletic and attractive brand of cricket played by our young brigade.
So, here is a toast to the two Kohli's, to Goswami and Tiwary and to Srivastava and Jadeja, indeed to the entire team. There is a silent prayer, as well, that they fulfil their enormous potential and do not end up as mere "what-should-have-beens".

genuine doubt. whats with the general aggression even among the under 19s?? i know we clamoured for killer instinct but this is sheer stupidity modelled on the mistaken notion that the australian model of playin cricket is the best!
It seems that being aggressive on the cricket field is all about being loud mouthed and brash. I once read an article which stated that Tendulkar, Kumble and Dravid were three of India's most aggressive characters and they never had to open their mouths.
So, you are correct, the cricket ground has suddenly become a noisy place but not a better place.
Welcome, Mal!! :)
Am excited about the u19 matches... matches are more interesting... lots of good stroke play... for India, three years in a row which is good.
Yes. Especially the fieldng part. Absolutely superb effort.
The U19 will probably throw up a couple or maybe as many more.
Virat Kohli is set for bigger things...Tanmay looks like it too...Taruwar Kohli is in the twilight zone...it's all his to push his way forward....Sangwan may get to play the ODIs but I don't see him go beyond too far...his physical growth appears to be maxxing for me...Goswami is a keeper so that's an additional asset for him...jadeja looks like he could be stuck in the domestic level...it is Argal who enthuses me...if he can put on some muscles and a few inches.
Just in case India wins, I hope the country doesn't go overboard like they did with T20...yours truly included.
mal would seem to be a name unfit for this forum!! :)
What a performance man!! Helped by the rain no doubt, but what a bolwing and fielding perforamce!! The future is looking bright
Yes. But, it is too early to predict the future.
